In this video Vallerani briefly describes which rivers, despite the human driven changes that took place in the past, are still maintaining an exchange with the Venice lagoon. [December 2015]
Vallerani studied at the Department of Geography of the University of Padua, under the guidance of Profs. G.B. Castiglioni and M. Zunica, graduating in Literature in 1978. He started to research about the relationships between anthropic communities and hydraulic morphologies, with numerous and prolonged works along the coastal strip of the upper Adriatic (traditional fishing, coasting trade, seaside tourism , casoni and nuclei of seasonal settlement). He currently teaches Geography at the Economics Department of the CĂ Foscari University of Venice.
